ARC  OF  19  CHURCH  ST.  INVITES  YOU ~ The Church Office received a handwritten invitation from our ARC House at 19 Church St. (next door) to "Everyone at the First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford."
On Sunday, 17 August 2008, 19 Church St. is having a "HAWAIIAN-THEMED END OF SUMMER BASH."  The time on the invitation is 12 noon - 5:00 p.m.   R.S.V.P.  489-0107.  "There will be Food, Music, and Fun!" 
I'm sure the ARC residents and ARC staff at 19 Church St. would be very honored if people from our church stopped by.  I am phoning the 19 Church St. Program manager, Ms. Henderson, to tell her that any of you who are able to drop in will phone 489-0107  by Sun., 10 Aug. 2008.  That way, they'll have at least a week's notice of how many to expect from our church. Diane Graziano

PENNY PINCHER SALE ~ dates this year are: October 14 & 15 - setup and October 16 & 17 – sale. Look for an article in the coming NewsBrief, with a list of what items will and will not be accepted.

ARC House Outreach Volunteers Needed: The Outreach Committee is looking for volunteers to help support the Sunday Morning A.M. Service ARC House Chaperoning Program. If interested in volunteering or if you have any questions regarding this program, please contact John Valenti @ 585-671-5964 or Diane Graziano.  There are volunteer openings for the months of September and December.  Together let us all continue to support the continuance of this local mission that began in 1990

Please welcome ~ our guest organist Yeonhee Shim. Yeonhee is a doctoral student in organ at Eastman and will be with us for the next few weeks.

Correction to the July/August Newsbrief ~ The Sunday morning Bible study meets from 8:15 until 9:15 prior to the 9:30 service. This is a great time to get out in the cooler morning air and start your Sabbath off right, with a small group discussion of God’s special Word to you.

Summer Sunday School Program ~ Our format for June 22 through August 31 is as follows:
Nursery (birth up to 4 years old) – in Nursery
Preschool (4 years old to young K) – downstairs in Room 3
Incoming Kindergarten to 3^rd Grade – downstairs in Room 2, after Mouse Report
Incoming 4^th Grade to 6^th Grade – downstairs in Room 7, after Mouse Report
Incoming 7^th Grade to 12^th Grade – Youth Room

At a time like this you need the listening ear and the caring support of a Stephen Minister.
