Expectations of Participants

Regular Attendance
Regular attendance by program participants is required.  We are asking our young people and their parents to participate every week and to organize other activities around LOGOS.  We believe education for faith is as important as any other commitment our children may have, with lifelong implications.  Sporadic attendance lessens the importance of LOGOS in the minds of those participating and defeats the purpose of the ordered, sequential system of nurture which is build in LOGOS.  Participants are expected to take part in all four parts of the LOGOS program.  In order to model the theology and style of community that LOGOS teaches, all four parts must be included.

Regular weekly participation in Sunday worship is expected
This is the opportunity for children and youth to contribute significantly to the life of the congregation, to use and develop worship skills, and to identify themselves as part of the family of God.  Participants share the gifts and skills they develop in LOGOS and enjoy showing their parents and friends what they are learning.  The congregation at large comes to appreciate children as full participating members of the family of faith and affirms the conviction that our children are the church's future.
