Second Sunday Concert Series

On the second Sunday of each month we are delighted to offer the following concerts in our beautiful sanctuary.  All concerts are Sundays at 3:00pm unless otherwise noted.  These concerts are offered free to the public but a suggested donations to help support these and future concerts is encouraged. 

Sunday, November 11th, 3pm - Schola Cantorum

An Early Music Ensemble affiliated with the Eastman School of Music and Christ Church will perform a recital of sacred works written during the 16th–18th century. This concert will feature a variety of sackbut performers as well as Dr. Bruce Frank on the organ.

Sunday December 9th 3pm - Christmas Cantata and Messiah Sing Along

Join the FPC chorus, soloists, and orchestra for a performance of "What Sweeter Music" by John Leavitt followed by the popular Messiah Sing Along!

Sunday, February 10th 3pm- "Through the Lens of War"

Join Eric Kesler, baritone Kimberly Upcraft-Russ, soprano and Chisato Marling, alto saxophone in a recital of songs from poems by children who were killed in the Holocaust and texts from Walt Whitman's diary of the Civil War.

Sunday, February 17th 3pm  - Choral Extravaganza

An annual tradition, this year featuring choirs from University of Rochester, Nazareth College, and the choir of First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford.

Sunday, February 24th 3pm - Nazareth College Annual Outreach Recital

This is a concert featuring solo performances by music students of Nazareth College.  These students have been nominated by their professors.

Sunday, March 10th 3pm  - Trio Alexander - flute, viola, harp

The Trio Alexander will be presenting music from their recording project. Works included will be Soulage: Legende, Bax: Elegy, Takemitsu: and then I knew twas wind, del Aguila: Submerged plus commissions from our call for scores project.

Sunday, April 14th, 10am - Faure Requiem

The Chancel Choir and soloists Eric Kesler and Alison Wahl will present Faure's Requiem with orchestra on April 14th, Palm Sunday, during worship service.  New members are encouraged to join and sing with us! Rehearsals begin on Wednesday, February 6th at 7:00pm.  Please contact Jared Chase <> for more information or if you are interested.

Sunday, May 12th, 3pm - Cordancia Chamber Orchestra

Join the Cordancia Chamber Orchestra for the final concert of the season for “Music from Terezin: Concentration Camp Chamber Music”

Sunday, June 9th, 3pm - Concentus Women's Choir - Choral Journey Around the World

Concentus returns to First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford for our Spring Concert, celebrating music in many languages from around the world. We will be singing in Russian, Spanish, French, Gaelic, Japanese, Hebrew, Portuguese, Finnish, as well as English. Works by Abbie Betinis, Eric William Barnum, and Cary Ratcliff, among others!
