The village of Pittsford has been our home for over 200 years. Please explore this site or discover us on Facebook to glean a bit more about this diverse family in faith - its mission, worship, fellowship, education and prayer life. But then, please stop by our historic building. The sanctuary is simple, but elegant. Yes, parking can be a problem for us, but on Sundays there is normally plenty of space in the Pittsford public lots and bank lots that are less than 1 block away (sometimes just across the street). A map on this site indicating parking places should be helpful.
1st Presbyterian Church exists to tell people about Jesus Christ and support them in their faith journey as they celebrate God’s love and become equipped to serve others in Jesus’ name. We believe that God has called us together to be agents of reconciliation and hope and we rejoice in the offering of gifts and talents that people bring to this ministry that extends throughout the United States, to Africa, Jamaica and the City of Rochester.
You are welcome to visit us on Sunday when we normally worship, and if you leave a note for Pastor Carrie, we’d be happy to visit with you, too. Greeters in the lobby and narthex are eager to assist you in finding everything from restrooms to refreshments. 1st Presbyterian Church is a family of sinners and lovers who embrace Jesus Christ, his message and his call to become his followers.
In Christ is our hope.
