At First Presbyterian we have a variety of activities and “services” for families
Nursery Room Care During Worship - During the 10:00 service, children from newborn to Sunday school age are welcome in the Nursery at the far end of the East wing. Click HERE and scroll down to see a floor plan.
Church Mouse Report - During the early part of the service the children are invited to the front of the church to hear a Church Mouse Report by the Pastor. This message is specially aimed at young children. From there the children head off to their Sunday School classes.
Family Christmas Eve Service - At 4:30 PM on Christmas Eve there is a separate “kid-friendly” service for families.
Sunday School - Sunday School is held during the 10:00 worship service. Sunday School classes are split into 3 groups: Pre-K through 1st grade, 2nd and 3rd grades and 4th and 5th grades. Click HERE to learn more.
Youth Bible Study - Is for Grades 6 - 12. Click HERE to learn more.
Youth Group - This group of 6th through 12th graders combines fun activities with mission projects and Bible studies. Click HERE to learn more.
Music - Our music program features 2 opportunities for children: Wee Kirksingers for K - 1st Grade and the Celebrate Choir for 2nd - 6th graders. These groups practice and perform for the congregation several times during the year. Click HERE to learn more.
LOGOS - Is our mid-week after-school program which has been in existence for 35 years. It is for children from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Click HERE to learn more.
Confirmation Classes - When youth are in the 8th grade they have the opportunity to become full church members by participating in the Confirmation experience and committing themselves. Click HERE to learn more.
