Dear Members and Friends of First Presbyterian,

Thanks to your generous, faithful, and continuous support we look forward to meeting the opportunities of our ministry and mission in 2026. We bring glory to God by our commitment and actions building on what matters most in our desire to be true disciples of Jesus. Through your financial support, we provide for all the church’s ministries: worship, mission, education, pastoral care, and pro-grams. We hope and trust that you make room for these in your daily

life and that you find a spiritual home here. Included in this mailing is your personalized participation card for 2026 showing what your pledge would be at varying levels of increase. Also enclosed is your contribution statement through September 30. This year, we ask that you join others handing in their cards on Consecration Sunday, November 9, 2025. Other ways of submitting your pledge and additional information can be found below. We thank you in advance for your support of our church’s ministry and mission in 2026.

What do our four ministry categories include?

  • Mission includes our outreach to over 20 local organizations, in addition to the In-Step orphanage in Kenya, disaster relief trips, and missionaries in Asia. We went to Kitale, Kenya with a dental team in January 2024 and will be returning again in 2026. We went to New Bern, North Carolina (adults) in January 2023 and February 2025 (youth and adults) to assist with Hurricane rebuilding. Locally we support Cameron Community Ministries, the Pittsford Food Cupboard, the Backpack Program for local school children, the Trinity Emmanuel Breakfast Cafe, Habitat for Humanity, and many more organizations

  • Worship comprises our leadership for services, our music (including guest musicians and concerts), and special services, such as weddings, funerals, and youth services.

  • Education embraces Sunday school, LOGOS, Bible study, adult enrichment and small groups.

  • Finally, Fellowship incorporates youth activities, deacon events, pastoral visits, fellowship hour after services, meeting and greeting visitors, and member assistance and prayer support. For example, the deacons continue to sponsor monthly fellowship activities including Game Night, Kayaking, Hiking, and Cooking Club. The deacons also plan and run annual events such as the All Church Picnic, Dads & Grads strawberry social on Father's Day, hockey and baseball games.

We hope the ministries budget can help you to better understand how your support affects our church’s mission and that you will consider filling out a Share God’s Blessings pledge card.
